I Accidentally Discovered The EASIEST WFH Hack

For the past month-plus (I've lost count, honestly), I, along with the rest of the Hunker team, have been working from home. While my husband and I have a home office, it's been unofficially claimed by my S.O., so I find myself working from our living room sofa most days. It's far from ideal, but it's either the couch or bed, so I am trying to keep up the appearance of "going to work."

For the most part, I balance my laptop on a pillow or a hardcover book — options that aren't so fun (and end up ruining your nice books). Then, I inadvertently made a discovery when for some reason I absent-mindedly brought a clean wooden cutting board into the living room (still can't figure out why). I realized our cutting board is the perfect lap desk size, and it's been the ideal object to balance a laptop on.

So, if you've been struggling with a hot laptop burning your thighs or ruining your books, may I suggest you head to the kitchen and try out a cutting board? Easy-peasy.
