We Highly Recommend You Make This Dried Flower Arrangement For The Fall Holiday Season

Looking for ideas for a beautiful floral arrangement for this fall? You have come to the right place. We are obsessed with making dried floral arrangements not only because they make gorgeous bouquets and arrangements, but because they will also last forever! The fall colors of dried grasses and flowers are so earthy and natural toned. We also took this arrangement a step further and dyed some of the bunny tail grasses using food coloring. We went with a burnt orange color, light pink, and light blue to complement the natural dried grasses and flowers.

Things Needed

NOTE: You can find dried grasses and flowers at your local craft store, flower shop, or online. We made this arrangement using flowers and grasses sourced from our local craft store. But you can also find a more extensive assortment on Etsy, Amazon, and at Michael's.

Step 1

Prepare your glass jars with water and food coloring. Use semi-warm water, and then mix the food coloring for your desired color. You can use liquid or gel food coloring.

Step 2

Dip the bunny tail grass into the prepared colored water. Let soak for at least 10 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the grass from the dye bath and then allow it to dry completely. You can hang the grass upside down or lay upon a box and secure with tape to keep them in place (see photo). Dry overnight.

Step 4

Start arranging the dried flowers and grasses. Start with a clump of a larger/fuller floral. Hold that piece in your hand and begin to build the arrangement around that. Place a lotus pod and bunny tails and other grasses around that.

Step 5

Continue making the arrangement as full as your vase will hold, and then secure the arrangement with floral wire or a twist tie. Trim with floral shears or sharp scissors and place into your vase.

Step 6

Continue to add grasses and flowers to the vase. This will ensure that the arrangement looks full at the base of the vase.
