Unplug At This Remote Portuguese Farmstead Hotel

Muxima, a small farmstead hotel, may be located in a remote southwestern point of Portugal, but its name and decor takes inspiration from somewhere even farther: Africa. The owners had spent time there before relocating to Portugal, and sought to bring some aspects of Africa back with them. To wit, the hotel's name, "muxima," means "heart" in Angolan dialect.

With close proximity to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, the inn is largely about finding yourself in nature: breakfasts are taken outside, the property features a biological pool, and the home is made with natural and ecofriendly materials.
