How To Remove Label Glue From Clothing

It is important when using chemicals to use a white cloth for cleaning as the dyes in some cloths may bleed onto the garment.
Labels and stickers look good, but only for so long. Once they're gone they tend to leave unfortunate and long-lasting evidence that they were there. Regular washing only seems to make the adhesive want to cling stronger to the clothing. Fortunately, with a little time and very minimal effort, label glue stains can be lifted from clothing as though there was never anything there at all.
Step 1
Place a paper towel directly on the adhesive. Place a clean cloth over the paper towel and iron over it until all the adhesive is lifted onto the paper towel.
Step 2
Press Scotch tape to the adhesive and pull away until the adhesive is all gone.
Step 3
Rub isopropyl alcohol onto the glue with a clean white cloth until all the glue is gone.
Step 4
Spray the glue with WD-40 and allow it to sit for one minute before wiping the glue with a clean white cloth.
Step 5
Press an ice cube to the glue for 5-10 seconds and then rub the glue off with a clean cloth.
Step 6
Blot vinegar onto the glue with a clean white cloth and allow it to sit for 20 minutes. Wipe the glue away with another clean white cloth and wash the garment in the hottest water allowable per the instructions on the label to remove any lingering residual glue.
