How To Use Liquid Fabric Softener In The Dryer

Things Needed

  • Spray bottle

  • White washcloth or any color sponge

Tip

If the washcloth or sponge gets funky, just throw it in with a load of whites and it will be ready again for work in the dryer when it comes out.

Warning

To avoid spots, do not spray liquid fabric softener directly on clothing.

Liquid fabric softener not only makes your clothes and other laundry items soft and static-free ... it makes your clothes smell nice, too. You simply add it to the rinse cycle. But, it's not so "simple" if you're not very good at catching the rinse cycle. Learn how to use liquid fabric softener in the dryer, without damaging the dryer. Your laundry will come out soft and smelling good, and your bottle of fabric softener will last longer than ever before.

Step 1

Pour liquid fabric softener into a spray bottle one-quarter of the way up.
