How To Soak Tie-Dye In Vinegar After Dying

Put your newly tie-dyed garment in a plastic bag and leave it in there for 24 hours prior soaking it in vinegar.
Pre-wash your cotton garment before tie-dying so shrinkage doesn't affect your tie-dye pattern.
Warning
To avoid possible color transfer stains, wash your tie-dyed garment by itself the first time.
Tie-dye crafts are a fun and simple way to create something new using a t-shirt or other white cotton garment. Step 1
Fill a bucket halfway with white vinegar then add enough cool water to fill the bucket the remainder of the way, leaving a few inches at the top.
Step 2
Place your newly tie-dyed garment in the bucket. Allow it to soak for 30 minutes so the vinegar can help set the fabric dye and help your garment retain colorfastness.
Step 3
Remove your tie-dye garment from the bucket.
Step 4
Wash your tie-dye in the washing machine using cool water. Add 1/2 cup table salt to the wash cycle and 1 cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle to further set the tie-dye colors.
